White Eagle Lodge London is offering an exciting programme of activities over the next six months, based on notable themes that regularly appear in the White Eagle teaching:

Peace, Joy, Beauty, Thought, Trust and Health.

Each theme will be covered by various activities over the course of a month, with PEACE as the first theme to be explored from Tuesday 22 October. The activities will include a mixture of in person and online formats to enable wider participation.

Colum Hayward, regional coordinator for White Eagle Lodge London explains the reasoning behind the idea:

"Well, first, to be of support and help to everyone who is seeking to unfold a better life – whether for themselves or for all society. The two are pretty closely linked. They are based on a simple premise that White Eagle stands out among spiritual teachers in showing that unfoldment of a vision of spirit is done not by constant study or heavy discipline, but by exploring the very things that have us feeling better – like beauty.
Thus, happiness is itself a spiritual tool. To be happy in an uncomplicated way – simply loving nature, or looking at the view from the top of a hill – is actually to rise onto another plane of life. To create beauty in the imagination, or by the making of a beautiful object, is to open the eyes to the heaven world.

Our other thought with this series of activities was to offer White Eagle’s teaching in a rather different way. Sometimes, the very buoyancy, lightness, of spiritual teaching is frequently missed. It can feel like long words and hard work, even old-fashioned words with a block to understanding. Our language, in these themed events, will be simple.

Hopefully, we shall be able to help whoever joins us to feel peace inside. Or to feel a happiness above the everyday. Or to discover beauty in a while new way, which lifts each of us to a broader and better horizon."
