What is Earth Hour and why do we take part in it?
Earth Hour encourages everyone worldwide to switch off all non-essential electric lighting for an hour to demonstrate support for climate change awareness, and the effect our use of energy has on the planet. Many millions of people worldwide take part, and this candlelit recital is our way of joining in – a celebration for our beautiful planet through sound and non-electric light. It is also a time to work with others to hold our Earth in the healing light.
